Awana Club

 

 

Awana Club is our ministry for boys and girls age 3½ years old through 6th grade.  Awana meets on Wednesday nights from late September through early May.  The active program begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 8:15 PM.  After the opening ceremony, the boys and girls will go to their specific age group club: Cubbies – 3 ½ - 5 years old; Sparks – Kindergarten through 2nd grade; and T & T – 3rd through 6th grades.  Each night of Awana includes a time of games and fun, a time to work in the handbooks to learn Scripture and earn awards, and also a Bible time where the children enjoy a Bible lesson geared just for them!

 

This action packed night is something that children love to participate in, and our Awana Leadership team is well-trained and prepared to see them do just that.  The name “Awana” (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) comes from 2 Timothy  2:15; “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
