Children's Ministries
Sunday School
We are committed to providing Biblically based and relevant Christian Education for each child. Our classes are specifically geared to the age group and our teachers are committed to teaching the truths of God’s Word so children will grow in their faith and in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Sunday School meets between our 1st and 2nd Worship services, and begins at 10:00 AM. Classes meet in the Impact Centre and the Education wing our main building. Our age graded classes for children are: Pre-school, Kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, and 5th and 6th grade. The curriculum we use is the Answers In Genesis Bible Curriculum, also known as ABC – Answers Bible Curriculum. These lessons present the gospel beginning in Genesis, to all generations, to train believers to know, obey and defend God’s Word; and to encourage believers to become conform to the image of Christ.

Jr. Church
Jr. Church is provided for children age 3½ through 2nd grade and meets every Sunday during both the 8:30 and 11:00 AM worship services. At the close of the song service, children are dismissed from the Sanctuary to go to the Jr. Church room for a Bible lesson, a craft that goes with the lesson and a game. Currently the lessons we are teaching are from the Wonder Ink Curriculum (David C. Cook), where children are learning the Big Questions and Big Ideas of the Bible. Lessons are grouped into series of 4-8 weeks.
Awana Club
Awana Club is our ministry for boys and girls age 3½ years old through 6th grade. Awana meets on Wednesday nights from late September through early May. The active program begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 8:15 PM. After the opening ceremony, the boys and girls will go to their specific age group club: Cubbies – 3 ½ - 5 years old; Sparks – Kindergarten through 2nd grade; and T & T – 3rd through 6th grades. Each night of Awana includes a time of games and fun, a time to work in their handbooks to learn Scripture and earn awards, and also a Bible time where the children enjoy a Bible lesson geared just for them!
This action packed night is something that children love to participate in, and our Awana Leadership team is well-trained and prepared to see them do just that. The name “Awana” (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV; “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Vacation Bible School - July 14-18, 2024
Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible? At The Great Jungle Journey, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life. The Great Jungle Journey is published by Answers In Genesis.
Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey! Mark your calendars for VBS 2024: July 14–18!

May 2024 Children’s Musical – Big Shot

May 19, 2024
We can do anything through God who gives us strength! Our 2024 Children’s Musical, the latest kid's musical created by Celeste Clydesdale from Lillenas, will reinforce that timeless truth with the zany characters and exciting plot of Big Shot. When a hapless band of garden insects face extermination by Goliath, a humongous bug sprayer, it takes the faith and courage of a little spider to listen to God and implement an ingenious plan. We’re very excited for our children to present this musical presentation – mark your calendar!
