Ladies Ministry

 

 

Seeking Light, our Ladies ministry at Lake View is designed to ladies and girls a Biblical view of femininity – Living In Light Of God’s Holy truth.  We believe that Jesus is our role model, and our mission is to create a community of spiritually minded ladies, mothers and daughters.  As we grow in the gospel of grace, we will become women who exercise God’s call to love our families, our church and our community.  It is our desire to be women (young and old) who follow after Christ.

 

Some of the opportunities for our ladies, apart from serving in the Spiritual Care aspect of the church and ministering to the church body with meals and serving others in many different ways are:

 

Our Ladies Bible Study meets Monday evenings at 6:30 PM starting.  Our Ladies are doing a seven-week study of Psalm 107 called Steadfast Love written by Lauren Chandler.  This study shows us how to face both storms and deserts in our faith with courage and trust in Jesus.

 

Volleyball: On Monday evenings between October and March our ladies volleyball team plays at in a league.  Players must be at least 14 years old, and no experience is necessary.  Our ladies enjoy great fellowship, good competition and making new friendships.  Shoshannah Smith is our contact person for the details: shosh@lakeviewch.org.

 

Sew-ers of Hope:  Do you enjoy fellowship and like to sew or quilt?  If you do or want to learn, then the Sew-ers of Hope group is for you.  They meet on Mondays at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall and work on projects for new mothers/babies, blankets for the elderly and needy, quilts for the Missions Auction, and even a personal project when necessary.  Diana Gendron leads the Sew-ers of Hope and can be contacted for further information or involvement: gendronbd@yahoo.com.
