Steve Smith

Senior Pastor

​

Steve had the privilege of growing up in a Pastor’s home where his father was a Pastor and church planter in the Baptist Church.  He is an ordained minister and has attended Grace College and Cedarville college where he studied Bible and Christian Education.  He is a graduate of Spring Arbor University and Huntington Graduate School of Christian Ministries.

​

He has been in ministry for 44 years and has been the Senior Pastor at Lake View since 2003.  He is grateful to God for a supportive and faithful staff and leadership team here at Lake View Church.  He has previously served as Senior Pastor, Impact Minister, Camp Program Manager, Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor.

 

He has been married to his wife and best friend, Pam, for 47 years and they both enjoy spending time together in and out of ministry!  Steve and Pam have three married children and nine grandchildren and they enjoy being involved in their lives and activities!  Along with spending time with his wife and family (dogs too), He enjoys preaching, discipling, riding his Harley, hunting, shooting, and sharing his love for Jesus Christ.

 

One of his favorite Scriptures is: Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Ben Gladhill

Associate Pastor of Christian Education

​

In his role as Associate Pastor of Christian Education since 2012, Ben oversees our Christian Education which also includes ONE80 Student Ministry, Adult Education and Small Groups.  He previously served in camping ministries at three different camps in Michigan and Pennsylvania doing a little of everything from Guest Services to Ministries Director and Assistant Camp Director.

​

He is an ordained minister, and holds a Bachelor of science in Educational Ministries and is a graduate of Huntington University.  Ben enjoys time with his wife, Becky and teenage son, Braden. Born and raised in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, he enjoys playing video games with his son, time in the woods hunting (or napping) kayaking with the family, tinkering around the house, playing guitar and drums,  and he enjoys most sports rooting for his home state college of Penn State University.

 

One of his favorite Scriptures is: Philippians 3:10 (AMP) – “My determined purpose is that I may know Him.  That I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him.  Perceiving and recognizing, and understanding the wonders of His person more strongly and clearly.”

Pam Smith

Office Administrator/Secretary

​

In her role as Office Administrator and Secretary since 2003, Pam oversees the office, supports the staff and congregation of Lake View, serves in the ladies ministry, and has served in the children’s ministry.

​

​

 

She was born and raised in West Unity, Ohio and has served faithfully in the churches her husband, Steve, has pastored in.  She enjoys time with her family (husband, children and 9 grandchildren), attending grandchildren’s sporting events, reading (a lot), her dogs, as well as watching college basketball and football (Go Blue!).

 

One of her favorite Scriptures is: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me.”

Children’s Ministry Coordinator

 

In her role as Children’s Ministry Coordinator since 2021, Shoshannah oversees our Awana Club, Jr. Church, Children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other special activities and events.  She began as a volunteer serving with children and youth, and previously worked in camping at Michindoh Conference Center and has been on short term missions to Jamaica and Belize.

​

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Youth Ministry and is a graduate of Spring Arbor University.  Shoshannah was born and raised in Camden, Michigan and grew up attending Lake View Church.  She enjoys time with her family and dog, Bella, as well as farming, camping at the family cabin in central Michigan, kayaking, traveling, drinking coffee and is always up for an adventure.

 

One of her favorite Scriptures is: Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
